Training is required of all foster parents. Initially 40 hours are undertaken prior to the foster child being placed in your home. After that ongoing training is pursued for 24 hours annually. Children's Service
Center provides training in your home, at your convenience, as well as at its center of operations. Parenting training helps ensure the success of a child's placement in a foster home. It strengthens parenting skills, as well as instructs parents in their rights and responsibilities as foster caregivers.
