Safe Crisis Management

Safe Crisis Management training encompasses Children's Service Center policy on the use of physical intervention, documentation standards for its use, and extensive focus on de-escalation techniques. Participants are instructed on verbal, non-verbal, para-verbal interventions and a host of other less restrictive interventions. Strenghths-based interventions and positive problem solving techniques are stressed with attention also focused on pre-explosion intervention and strategy, including assessments of individual consumers, staff and environmental factors. Participants are required to attend this two day training which concludes with a written test and physical skills test, both of which must be passed in order to be certified.
